Free Time-Stretching Plugin – PaulXStretch! Xenakios recently released a free plugin for stretching audio to experimental dimensions beyond minor warping and adjustment. The key behind the craziness is the PaulStretch algorithm which allows audio to be stretched to the extreme while maintaining sample speed/tempo. Free PaulStretch VST Plugin for Mac and Windows – Producerino PaulStretch has been around for quite a while to create extremely lush sounds by stretching audio to the extreme, but only for Windows (well, there's been ways of building it for Macs but with quite the hassle, apparently). 3. PAD synthesis for creating beautiful pads and other instruments

Audio demos:

Below you'll find a sampling of what users have been able to create by integrating ZynAddSubFX with their collection of synths, samples, and effects. If you don't know what PaulStretch is then you are missing out. It was a massive fad a few years back but regardless it's still amazing. The technique behind it (phase decorrelation) is still great.
Well, it's been available in VST/Au form for a little while now. Donation-ware

The documentation is pretty much non-existent but if you are half-competent you should be able to figure it out.
Play a bunch of chords into it's capture mode, activate some of the modules, re-arrange them, set the stretch to anything over 20x
